Curt Bennethum Appointed CEO; Scott Walter Named President;
Al Jennings Chairman of the Board

(Des Moines, Iowa – Sept. 25, 2019) – After more than 38 years as EFCO’s Chief Executive Officer, and 63 total years of service to the company, Al Jennings has announced the appointment of new leadership positions within the company. Executive Vice President Curt Bennethum has been named EFCO’s new CEO, and Chief Operating Officer Scott Walter has also been named President. Al will retain his current role as Chairman of the Board.

“It has been a privilege to serve as EFCO’s CEO. I’m proud of the work our team has done to build the company my father, W. A. Jennings, founded into the success it is today,” said Jennings. “I am excited about the future and look forward to the contributions of our new leadership team. This transition will be a great growth opportunity for EFCO.”

EFCO has been family-run since it was founded in 1934, in the midst of the Great Depression. Curt Bennethum will be the first CEO of the organization who is not a descendent of founder W. A. Jennings. Ralph Jennings, Al’s brother, also once served as Chairman of the Board and President. The Jennings family will continue to be actively engaged on the board and as team members in positions across the company.

“It is an honor to be appointed as EFCO’s CEO,” said Bennethum. “After more than 18 years with the company, I am amazed by the dedication of our team, as well as the history and culture we all share. We have an exciting future ahead, and I look forward to leading this company forward.”

EFCO also announced that Chief Operating Officer Scott Walter has been appointed by the board to take on the additional responsibility as President of the company. Scott is the great-grandson of EFCO’s founder W. A. Jennings.
