Position Summary: District Engineers are the “Run the Business” partner of the District Manager, Providing engineering support for both presale and contracted work. Works withEFCO Territory Managers to develop concrete forming solutions for EFCO customers. Responsible for coaching and counseling direct reports, which may include drafters and and Engineer-In-Training. Builds, develops and manages engineering team capable of carrying out needed engineering initiatives for the district. Overall accountability includes maintaining an efficient operation within the district to provide high quality service to both internal and external customers with in-depth ability to design and direct others.
Requirements: College engineering degree with a preference for a Civil, Construction, or Mechanical Engineering. Past management experience a plus. Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete engineering calculations required. Must have ability to interpret specifications and use engineering judgment in non-typical design applications. Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving, organizational, training, and PC skills are required. Must work effectively under pressure, exercise good judgment, and maintain confidentiality. Travel required.
