POWER TOWER®

POWER TOWER Self Climbing System
  • Power and Data Cable

A single power and data cable are all that is needed to route to each lifter location. These cables can even be strung end to end in pairs, so each unit does not have to go back to the central control location.

  • 16' Single Stroke Hydraulic Cylinder

Can fully cycle a typical floor height in under 20 minutes.

  • Central Control Console

Allows for the monitoring of all the critical data and controls the synchronized lift differential to within 1/4". This is one of four options for controlling the system.

  • Hydraulic Power Units

Individual hydraulic power units are positioned up and out of the way by each cylinder location and near each Hydraulic Stripping Corner. This clears up the work space and eliminates long hydraulic hoses traveling back to a central location.

POWER TOWER & PLATE GIRDER

When used with the high-strength alloy all-steel EFCO PLATE GIRDER® forming system, the combined strength of the form system and the POWER TOWER® options will regularly result in fewer lifters, fewer ties, and fewer overhead support beams.

The single-line form joint of the EFCO PLATE GIRDER is a preferred choice over the triple-line joints experienced with competitive systems. The all-steel form system will deliver the best and consistent concrete finish, guaranteed dimensional correctness, fewer work points, and larger tie spacing.

POWER TOWER 50® (PT-50)

The POWER TOWER 50 is a powerful hydraulic system that provides ample lifting capacity along with an inherent ability to minimize the possibility of overload situations.

The end result is a robust and safe system that meets the demands of the construction industry. The PT-50 is flexible for various situations with high-load capacity and is an easy to use, safe, self-climbing system.

POWER TOWER 100® (PT-100)

EFCO’s POWER TOWER 100 is a self-climbing system designed to meet the increasing demand for independent solutions that can raise formwork vertically without relying on the use of cranes for repetitious vertical lifts.

The POWER TOWER is a hydraulic lifting system designed to self-raise concrete formwork including concrete pumps, freeing the crane and valuable “hook-time” for other construction operations. Best for creating elevator and stair core walls, the system is a single long-stroke cylinder with a computerized self-leveling system. The PT-100 has twice the support and lift capacity of the EFCO PT-50® system.

Question & Answer

WHAT IS THE LOCK-OFF & LIFT CAPACITY OF THE POWER TOWER 50?

The EFCO POWER TOWER 50, with its 50,000 lb (222 kN) lock-off capacity and 35,000 lb (156 kN) lift capacity can require fewer frames over competitive lower capacity systems. When selecting a system, one must always consider the quality concrete finish all EFCO all-steel face sheets deliver pour after pour and, even more important, the reduced labor requirements for the self-climbing POWER TOWER PT-50 lifting system.

WHAT IS THE LOCK-OFF & LIFT CAPACITY OF THE POWER TOWER PT-100?

The EFCO POWER TOWER PT-100 with its 100,000 lb (445 kN) lock-off support capacity and 90,000 lb (400 kN) lift capacity can require fewer frames over competitive lower capacity systems. When selecting a system, one must always consider the quality architectural concrete finish the EFCO all-steel face sheets deliver pour after pour and, even more important, the reduced labor requirements for the self-climbing POWER TOWER PT-100 lifting system.

ADAPTABLE FORMING SOLUTIONS WITH POWER TOWER PT-50

One POWER TOWER 50 system can be adapted to multiple forming jobs. The PT-50 can be used in either “Walls on Floor” or “Walls Poured Ahead” methods. No need for multiple systems when one system can be adapted to multiple forming jobs no matter what construction method is required. One system, one answer to a multitude of jobs.

STRIPPING CORNERS ON CORE WALLS WITH POWER TOWER PT-100

With the push of a button, the hydraulically-operated stripping corner can give you as much as 1-1/2″ (40 mm) of clearance from your concrete wall all the way around your core. If additional stripping relief above what the hydraulic stripping corner can provide is required, hinges can be installed and with the simple removal of form clamps at a vertical form joint, an entire wall section can be rolled back up to 30″ away from the wall. This system saves time and labor during the critical path operation of cycling it up to the next level. Strip as much or as little as your specific job site condition requires.
