Kiewit Infrastructure West begins reconstruction of the Spaghetti Bowl & I-15 Interstate

After being awarded the largest public works project in Nevada history, Project Neon, Kiewit Infrastructure West began the task of reconstructing the “Spaghetti Bowl” and I-15 Interstate interchange along with widening 3.7 miles (6 km) of I-15 starting at Sahara Avenue. From the beginning, planning would play a key role as this stretch of highway is the busiest in Nevada with 300,000 vehicles passing through daily. Choosing EFCO for the large columns and pier caps on the HOV direct connector was one of the early supply decisions, providing the contractor with both proven bridge pier solutions as well as experienced engineering.
