Warehouse Visitor Safety Guidelines

IMPORTANT: All visitors must read and follow these safety guidelines before entering the EFCO warehouse facility. Your safety is our priority.

Check-In Requirements

  • All visitors are required to check in at the lobby
  • Safety glasses, ear plugs, and head protection are available in the lobby
  • Firearms and weapons are not permitted on premises
Video Surveillance Notice: This building and surrounding grounds are monitored by security cameras at all times. By entering, you consent to video surveillance for safety and security purposes.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Eye protection is required by everyone within the facility
  • Safety glasses must be worn at all times
  • Footwear must cover the entire foot including toes, heels, and tops of feet
  • Visitors are required to stay within designated aisles of the shop floor if not wearing required footwear
  • Outside designated aisles, footwear conforming to current ASTM F2413 standards is required

General Safety Guidelines

  • Please stay with your host or tour guide at all times
  • Do not touch any material, production product, or equipment
  • Avoid areas that have been roped off or barricaded
⚠️ Production Environment Hazards: Our facility contains many hazards including:
  • Sharp edges and objects
  • Welds that can be very hot
  • Paints and solvents
  • Welding operations producing radiant/UV light hazardous to unprotected eyes

Do not stare at any welding or cutting arcs.

Material Handling Equipment Awareness

Be aware of your surroundings at all times. Multiple types of material handling equipment are in operation:

Overhead Cranes:
  • Equipped with alert buzzer
  • Flashing blue light indicates movement
Forklifts:
  • Operate throughout the facility
  • Utilize blue warning approach lights
  • Horns indicate movement
Towveyor Line:
  • Activation is preceded by buzzer
  • Yellow flashing light indicates carts are advancing
  • Carts move slowly and with a delay after alarms are initiated
  • Pedestrians and equipment must be kept clear from the towveyor cart path at all times
