EFCO FORM GUARD™

Proprietary high-performance corrosion preventative coating for EFCO steel formwork
  • Sold in 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums
  • Applied in EFCO manufacturing facilities to all EFCO face sheet products; also available for contractor in-yard applications
  • Protects EFCO forms during storage and transit from corrosion for up to six months
  • Works by creating an insoluble, protective film
  • Provides optimum rain and saltwater corrosion resistance
  • Applied at a rate of 2,000 – 2,600 sf / gal (50 – 65 sm / L)

* EFCO FORM GUARD and debris that accumulate on the coating may require removal using NOX-CRETE BIO-CLEAN READY 6 before EFCO FORM RELEASE installation.

EFCO FORM RELEASE™

General purpose formwork release agent with built-in steel formwork protectant
  • VOC compliant in all states, except the California SCAQMD district
  • Must be applied between each pour by the contractor
  • Applied using conventional application methods. Spray application recommended
    • The application rate for steel is 1,200 – 1,500 sf/gallon (30-37.5sm/L) when forms are smooth and clean
    • The application rate for absorptive surfaces, including plywood, is 600-800 sf/gal. (15-20 sm/L)
  • Chemically bonds to the working faces of steel forms, producing a water-resistant film that protects from corrosion between concrete pours for up to 2 weeks
  • When applied in a thin protective film, it provides a crisp, clean release and prevents the accumulation of concrete buildup
  • EFCO FORM RELEASE can be stored at temperatures below freezing
  • Low odor and VOC < 250 grams per liter
  • Nox-Crete’s Release Agent #10 B is available as a biodegradable option
